A teenager suspected of suffering from bird flu died on Friday after being hospitalized for four days at the Kariadi public hospital, Semarang, Central Java.
The 15-year old local Semarang girl has been identified as D.S.
A physician attending D.S., Agus Suryanto, said that the cause of death was a respiratory failure after suffering from fever exceeding 39 Celsius degree.

Two of these cases have no reports of dead birds, but both cases worked or lived near butcher shops. Plenty takin tamiflu now and mosques are being disinfected. The general public is aware of how "endemic" it really is. Negatives mean nothing to me. The Indonesian Gov't MUST immediately confine all chicken proccesing to centralized areas and take live chickens off the streets. The continued reckless and indescriminate deaths of children from this disease can be stopped. The Drs there are getting fed up with it and so am I.
