2 people who attended a funeral now suspect to have the disease. Am not sure if they embalm the dead, remove the blood etc. In other words someone at the funeral has the disease or it is coming from the deceased person.

A poster from Java on another board indicated that most of the residents of Java (don't know about this particular area of Garut) were Muslim. I believe that Muslims do not permit autopsies and embalming, but require immediate burial. These issues have come up during flu outbreaks in Turkey and Iraq.
O.K. This was posted by MichelleOK on the wiki. I asked her to give me the time of the article or the title (kept in Indo language). She did. I went there, translated it over, re-read it, and wrote her what you see below. I had closed out metrotvnew while doing the toggletext and the wiki. When I went back to get the address for this posting - the posting at 18:10 is gone.
It sounds like two more suspected cases. Ayi (10) and Memem (60). Ayi is ringing a bell? Ayi was able to be treated at the Comm. Health Ctr. while Memem had to be brought to the hospital. It also sounds like the woman who is pregnant, Kuraesin, is doing better. But that the Doctor didn?t know if it had an effect on her baby. She is 3?4 months pregnant.
The patient suspect bird flu from the Cikuelet region, Garut, West Java, it was reported improved two.
They were Ayi Rohimat Binti Syafrudin, was 10 years from the Jojok Village and Memen that were 60 years from the Cibeunteur Village, old old was brought made use of the ambulance towards the Handsome Hospital of Sadikin Bandung, West Java.
The sign of the illness that was suffered by the two people resembled the flat patient bird flu.
The latest report mentioned that Ayi could be handled by the medical official of the Community Health Centre (the Community Health Centre) Cikeulet.
Whereas Memen was at once brought to RSHS Bandung after the high fever and the cough.
Now from RSHS Bandung, was reported by the Kuraesin condition, the patient suspect bird flu from Cikeulet, Garut, that entered last night, improved and stable.
In konferesi the press in RSHS Bandung, on Saturday afternoon (19/8) earlier, Artoyono, the doctor who handled directly Kuraesin said, Kuraesin could have in fact eaten and drunk normally.
Beforehand, Kuraesin was only permitted to consume the fruit.
Kuraesin could have then stood.
However, Artoyono still could not explain the impact of the high fever and the cough on the embryo who was contained by the patient.
Artoyono must consult first with the content doctor.
Regarding my post on the missing article. It is still there. You just have to find it by going to search, and typing in Flu Burung. It was posted at 18:10.
I suspect Eli, esih, K, Kuresin, and EK are all the same person.
I don't have an Eli. But K and EK are described as coming from 2 different hamlets. Could be the same individual still -- but I'm keeping an open mind for now.

Sorry -- do you have a reference for the fact that EK is pregnant? I didn't see that. Thanks.
Post #31:
Yogi said another possible bird flu sufferer, identified as 32-year-old EK from Tipar hamlet, was admitted to a Garut hospital Friday and would be immediately rushed to Hasan Sadikin Hospital.
The mother of the eight-year-old who is recovering said bird flu rumors started to spread in Cikelet after the virus killed the nine-year-old girl Tuesday. She said the villagers never had information on bird flu and never got vaccine for their livestock.
The woman, who is four months pregnant, said four out of her 15 chickens died before her daughter got sick.

Hmmmm. I didn't think that "the mother of the eight-year-old" was actually EK.
The 8 year old that is sick is Santi -- and her parents are Iwan & Surilah.
So, I don't think EK is pregnant -- whoever EK is.

Dr. Numan's posts- 4:22/ 4:39 identifies Kuresin as the woman who is pregnant. His post 4:22 identifies Euslina as having died. Is there also an Eli/esih?

I think the hamlets are pretty iffy. They are tiny and I think have less than 100 people (and possibly much less). They are more like a street, but without the number, so they are subject to error, especially for reporters not from the area.
I think the person in question is a female in her early 30's who recentlt (Thurs/Fri) transfered into Sadkin Hospital in Bandung from Garut. She is pregnant, but that might not be in all reports, especially the earlier ones.
EK are just the initials - all first names listed begin with E and last name begins with K).

Yes, earlier reports mention an Eli and an esih but as alive.
Euslina is a 35F who died Thurs/Fri and some reports indicate she tested positive today and her 9 year old daughter, Dea, died earlier, misdiagnosed as typhus (and no sample collected for H5N1 testing)

I don't think the translation indoicates that EK was the mother of the recovering 8 year old. Instead the person being quoted (who isn't sick but knows when word in the village began to spread) is the mother of the recovering 8F (santi's mother) and is described as "the mother of the eight year old recovering" but that was not in reference to EK.
