Swine Flu toll rises to 28 in Karnataka

A 36-year-old woman succumbed to swine flu today, pushing up the toll in the pandemic in Karnataka to 28.
Shahida Misgar, who was admitted to a private hospital here on August 31 with fever and respiratory problems, died in the early hours, becoming the first victim of the virus in Uttara Kannada district, health authorities said.
Her throat swab tested positive for the virus, authorities said.
