Gorakhpur, Oct 26(UNI) Four more deaths were reported during the past 48 hours in Baba Raghav Das Medical College of the district.
The death toll with these fresh deaths has climbed to 326, mostly of which are children, said sources.

Gorakhpur, Oct 29 (UNI) This year's death toll in the current spate of encephalitis at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College hospital touched 332 today.

Death toll in the recent spate of encephalitis rose to 340 as three more children died of this dreaded disease during the past 24 hour. Officials say all the deaths are reported from BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur.
Official sources on Sunday said that of the three fresh deaths one each were from Basti and Gorakhpur while one was from adjoining Bihar state. ?All the dead were children in the age group of 5 to 15 years,? the official told The Pioneer.
Baba Raghav Das Medical College Superintendent Dr. N N Shukla said that since January last over 1500 children suffering from encephalitis were admitted to the Baba Raghav Das Medical College here of which 340 died.
Treatment of 78 children was underway in the medical college, he said.

Four more succum to encephalitis in Gorakhpur

With the death of four more children, the death toll owing to encephalitis has now reached 352 at Baba Raghav Das Medical College of the district.
Medical college sources here said children who fell prey to the dreaded disease belonged to Kushinagar and Gorakhpur districts. Over 1,540 patients, mostly children, were admitted to the hospital since the start of present year, said sources.

GAYA: With one more death reported from Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College Hospital, the number of Encephalitis deaths has gone up to 24. Altogether, 123 AES patients were admitted to the children's ward of the ANMMCH with AES symptoms. Of these, 35 of the patients were found suffering from Japanes Encephalitis, the more deadly form of the disease.
Confirming 24 deaths due to AES this season, ANMMCH superintendent Dr SK Sinha said that 35 of the 123 AES patients admitted to the hospital this season were tested JE positive. Giving a further break up, the superintendent said that of the 23 deaths reported this season, eight suffered from Japanese Encephalitis while the other 15 died due to AES.

Death toll due to encephalitis rise to 374
Gorakhpur, Nov 16 (UNI) With the death of two more children today owing to encephalitis the toll escalated to 374 at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College of the district.
Official sources here said these two children succumbed to the dreaded disease and belonged to Gorakhpur and Deoria districts.
Sources further said 1623 patients from the same have been admitted to the hospital since the start of this year and 374 out of them have died.
