Quebec euthanasia bill on verge of becoming law

MONTREAL - Quebec legislators could pass a euthanasia bill within days that would allow doctors to give lethal injections to patients in the province who are suffering.
While euthanasia is illegal under Canadian law, Quebec's Bill 52 uses the term "medical aid in dying" to describe the door that's been opened for doctors to help patients commit suicide.
The Parti Quebecois government has also suggested it might ask Crown lawyers in the province not to prosecute euthanasia cases.
The PQ bill lists medical aid in dying as part of "end-of-life care" health services, though it's still not clear if the bill is legal...
