    The spread of swine flu is likely to have been accelerated by movement of school children rather than international air travel as originally thought, according to a new analysis.

    Researchers from Cambridge University and a number of US institutions have found that short-range travel was likely the primary driver for the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic in the United States, in contrast with accepted views on the way diseases spread.
