    UN FAO holds seminar in Baku

    Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev ? APA-ECONOMICS. The next seminar organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and supported by Azerbaijan Ministry of Agriculture started today in Baku.

    According to APA-ECONOMICS the heads of heads of veterinary services and the national coordinators of Azerbaijan, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and countries of Central Asia will attend the seminar.

    Head of State Veterinary Services Siala Rustamova says the main purpose of this seminar is to prevent the H5N1 virus known as "bird flu? and keep under control this disease.

    Note that, the presentation of regional strategic project on Central Asia Region will be held on the second day of the seminar.

    Baku. Elnur Guseynguluev - APA-Economics. With the logistical support of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan in Baku within the framework of the Central Asian regional network is the next seminar.

    APA-Economics, the two-day workshop (23-24 August) will be attended by the heads of veterinary services and the national coordinators of the countries of the FAO, in particular Azerbaijan, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Central Asian countries.

    Speaking at today's meeting, the Chief State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture was shining Rustamov noted that the main purpose of this seminar is to prevent the highly "bird flu": "The event will discuss the fight against bird flu, as well as regional cooperation in the protection of health and other ..

    S. Rustamov noted that currently in Azerbaijan "bird flu" is not: "But this does not mean that the disease is not in all countries. State Veterinary Service is keeping the situation under control, that the epidemic has not flared up again.

    Note that the second day of the seminar will be a presentation of regional strategic project for the Central Asian region.
