A SWINE flu victim has died in Newham General Hospital, the Recorder discovered yesterday.
A spokesperson for Newham University Hospital Trust said: "We can confirm that a patient passed away last Wednesday who had tested for H1N1 infection. They had underlying health conditions.."
Newham University Hospital NHS Trust will not reveal the gender of the patient.
The number of suspected swine flu victims in Newham has now exceeded 6,000 and up to 6,105 doses of the drug Tamiflu have been prescribed in Newham since the start of the outbreak.
People experiencing flu-like symptoms are urged not to visit their GPs or A&E departments, but to check their symptoms by calling 0800 1....
