MADRID, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- A 31-year-old pregnant woman became the eleventh mortal victim of A/H1N1 flu Friday.

The victim died in the city of Castellon, which is on the East coast of Spain.

"The death was caused by complications related to the A/H1N1 virus," the Spanish Ministry of Health said in a statement.

The death occurred just hours after Health Minister Trinidad Jimenez assured that Spain was one of the countries with the lowest prevalence in Europe -- just 32.89 cases per 100,000 head of population, almost half of the 72 per 100,000 currently being experienced by the United Kingdom.

Jimenez was speaking at the launch of a Spanish government campaign to curb the expected spread of the virus this autumn. The campaign focuses on simple measures, such as using a tissue when you sneeze and washing your hands regularly.
