    Elderly man died of swine flu

    Oslo (NTB): An elderly man died Wednesday in hospital Telemark by H1N1 virus, said Health Directorate on Thursday.

    The man belonged to a risk group for developing serious illness from the virus.

    - This is a reminder that the disease which for most is mild, can cause serious consequences, "said deputy Director Bjorn Guldvog Directorate of Health.

    In all, seven people are currently admitted to Norwegian hospitals with swine flu, four of them in intensive care units.

    Death Wednesday is the fourth in Norway of the H1N1 virus. A teenage girl died from Larvik 7 September. A 42-year-old woman from Romerike in Akershus was the first Norwegian citizen who died of the virus, but earlier this fall, it was ascertained that a Danish truck driver on tour in Norway had been infected by new virus.

    In addition, a cruise ship port of call this summer a Norwegian port with a influenzadeatj from southern Europe on board.
