Five Moldovans died of pandemic flu in the first days of 2010

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ - Five people died of A(H1N1) flu in Moldova in the first days of 2010. Specialists are saying that the main reason for their death resided in the fact that they asked too late for medical assistance.
Sources in the Health Ministry specified that they asked for healthcare assistance in the fourth, fifth and sixth days of the disease when it was too late to save them.
In the context, the ministry urged Moldovans to get vaccinated against the pandemic flu, noting that about 15,000 people have been vaccinated so far.
Until present, 2,600 people fell sick with the A(H1N1) flu, of whom 30 died.
