Now there's someone else to pay attention, to avoid being infected: Quattrozampe are populating our homes, they also at risk of getting influenza A. According to the expert, when it is impossible to know exactly how many pets have been infected. The cat which has learned about living close to a veterinary laboratory rather than technology, where to leave no doubt has been tested in animals. "As the number of infected people increases - says Bridges - will increase the possibility of a greater number of cases of transmission of the virus' quattrozampe.Meglio to avoid, therefore, to be pampered by your puppy when you're in bed sick with influenza A. On the other hand, when the animal showing suspicious symptoms, veterinarians recommend that the rules of hygiene and behavior of common sense: Always wash hands and not allow to be kissed and licked her face.

      The latest reports indicate that the three doctors (two family doctors and a not identified one) have been hospitalized. Earlier, another three were infected but not required hospital care. It is not clear if these three are the same hospitalized today. None received the vaccine, despite it is strongly recommended for all health care workers.

      The toddlers suspected to have died in Naples are not clearly linked one to another but all live in the metropolitan area, where is occurring a high intensity influenza-like illness outbreak.

      Only for the week ending November 4, 2009, at Naples Influenza Laboratory at ''Cotugno'' hospital, 293 samples tested positive for H1N1 2009 pandemic influenza virus. Overall, the laboratory found around 900 positive samples among those sent for analysis.

      Complete data set is available in Italian at: http://www.ministerosalute.it/influe...ir_4-11-09.pdf

      Of 896 samples positive for influenza:

      -- 11 was Influenza A not subtyped;
      -- 885 was Influenza H1N1 2009;
      -- no other type / subtype were isolated.
