Greece declares swine flu epidemic

Greek Health Ministry has announced swine flu pandemic in the country.
The total number of infected people is 3000, out of which 330 people were registered in the last few days. So far 5 deaths were confirmed.
Experts say that about 40% from the patients have been infected by the new swine flu.
The presence of swine flu has been checked at patients who had complications, meaning that the number of infected may be much higher.
In the last two days, Health Ministry closed 158 schools, although it said that there is no reason to close all of them.
Experts say that АХ1Н1 virus will be present in the next 6 to 8 weeks, and the government plans to vaccinate the Greek population in the following several days.
