      Actually, it looks like this report is on the outbreak 2 years ago since both reports mention 169 dead wild birds.

              This is Uva Lake in Mongolia near Russian border with Tuva/Tyva (but is the 2006 outbreak) which spread to South Korea / Japan at the end of 2006 followed by Kuwait in early 2007 and all of Europe in the summer and fall of 2007.

              This year birds in the area had H5 antibodies, but no reports yet of H5N1.
