There are 14 patients admitted to hospitals, while yesterday Thursday they were 17 , and six of them are kept in the ICU, the same number as yesterday. So far, three people have died in Seville from the virus, since previously the death of an 85-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man was registered .
This outbreak of the Nile virus is the largest that has been recorded in Andalusia , which is attributed to the 30% increase in mosquitoes in the wetlands of the Do?ana National Park and the Guadalquivir River near La Puebla and Coria del Rio, the Sevillian populations in which it has been detected.
