SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WDRB) -- It's been about two weeks since a Rock Creek Academy student got sick, went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with tuberculosis.

Since then, Clark County health officials have been testing anyone who may have recently come in contact with that student.

Out of 250 tests, 48 skin tests came back positive.

But officials say that doesn't necessarily mean those 48 people have the disease...

Health officials are testing more students at Rock Creek Community Academy, and family members who came in contact with students whose skin tests came back positive.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - State health officials say more than 80 people exposed to a southern Indiana student with a confirmed case of tuberculosis have now tested positive for the disease.

The State Department of Health said Friday that 85 people have tested positive to TB in skin tests, up from 54 positive tests on Wednesday...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Indiana Health Department has tested nearly 1,000 people for tuberculosis in southern Indiana, and more testing is expected...

...This comes after a Rock Creek Academy student went to a Floyd County emergency room and tested positive for TB.

So far, 110 of those tested have preliminary positives. Several more steps need to be taken before the cases are confirmed.

There is only one confirmed case of TB in southern Indiana...
