NAPLES, Italy ? Medical staff at the U.S. Navy base in Sicily are treating a DODDS student for tuberculosis, base officials said Thursday.
It?s the second suspected case related to Department of Defense Dependents Schools this week.
A spokesman for Naval Air Station Sigonella said doctors were awaiting test results to confirm the diagnosis but proceeding with their protocol for the disease. The patient, a student at Sigonella Middle High School, is in isolation, spokesman Lt. Paul Newell said.
