    A Coweta man has been confined in the Troup County Jail since mid-November for refusing to take his tuberculosis medication.

    Dao Vo, of 69 Matador Way, Newnan, was originally diagnosed with tuberculosis in February. He was released from St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, with orders to continue follow up treatment with the Muscogee County Board of Health Tuberculosis Clinic.

    According to the emergency petition filed by the Coweta County Board of Health, Vo violated the orders by missing nine months of his treatment and not confining himself to his home, ?thus exposing himself to the general public.?

    When the emergency petition was filed on Nov. 18, Vo was at Piedmont-Newnan Hospital. He was later transferred to the Troup County Jail to begin treatment...
