A student at Indio High School was recently diagnosed with active tuberculosis and screening Monday at the school showed 45 students tested positive for possible exposure to the illness, county public health officials said Thursday.

PALM DESERT ? Riverside County health officials announced Thursday that they plan to test about 1,800 Indio High School students and staff for tuberculosis as early as Friday after a student tested positive.

It does not mean they have active tuberculosis. But, they are being asked to get a chest X-ray...

NDIO ? About 120 Indio High School students and some staff members are undergoing a second round of testing for tuberculosis Tuesday, according to the Riverside County Department of Public Health.
None of the people have shown symptoms of tuberculosis, though, and they?re undergoing testing as a precaution...
