    BOISE -- Q fever is back in Idaho.

    A release from Governor Otter's office says that the State Department of Agriculture is investigating a confirmed case of Q fever in an Idaho goat herd.

    The herd has been quarantined.

    BOISE -- The Idaho State Department of Agriculture says two Idaho goats have tested positive for Q fever. Q fever is a contagious bacteria that affects, sheep, goats and cattle, and it can be spread to humans.

      The article above states that the infection was discovered during routine screening.
