Blastomycosis is a rare fungal disease found in both humans and dogs. The disease can be serious in humans if not treated quickly. The symptoms are a lot like those of the flu. It is thought the spores are found in decaying vegetation along river edges. The disease in dogs if often fatal.
Please do not ask me for medical advice, I am not a medical doctor.
