    Another Nipah-hit death in Rangpur

    RANGPUR, Mar 5: Another minor boy died from Nipah virus-infected encephalitis disease at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) Saturday afternoon raising the death toll to 35 in the region, health officials said. The latest victim was identified as Rifa (6), son of Ershad Hossain of village Sherpur under Taraganj Upazila in the district. He died at the RMCH after his admission there this afternoon.

      RANGPUR, Mar 6: Scattered incidents of Nipah virus infection continue as another suspected encephalitis patient was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) last night, official sources said, reports BSS.
      Premananda, 10, son of Harish Sankar of village Purbo Naodabosh under Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat, was admitted to RMCH in a critical condition at 10:30 pm.

        No Nipah infection during last one week in Rangpur region
        RANGPUR, Mar 13: A suspected Nipah virus infected encephalitis patient was released from Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) today after a week of his admission, official sources said.Premananda, 10, son of Harish Sankar of village Purbo Naodabosh under Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat, was admitted to RMCH on March 6. Rangpur Divisional Director of Health Dr Shahadat Hossain told BSS this afternoon that there was no report of new Nipah infection during the last one week in Rangpur region.
        The incurable disease claimed 35 lives since its outbreak in the region on January 31, official?s said. BSS
