    Boy Dies of Viral Meningitis; School Closes Out of Precaution

    Green Bay?s Trinity Lutheran School plans to resume classes on Monday (September 21) after a student died of viral meningitis.

    Kindergarten student Jack Natzke fell ill September 9 and was diagnosed with viral meningitis...

    The diagnosis was updated to encephalitis after he was admitted to a pediatric ICU, according to his Facebook page. There are tests being done for West Nile and other viruses.

      GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - There are additional cases of viral meningitis at a school in Green Bay.

      "One with a confirmed case of viral meningitis one with a suspected case" explains Mike Charles with the Our Saviour Lutheran Board of Education.

      "Viral meningitis has been around forever, it is just more in the news right now" says Dr. Ryan Murphy with BayCare Clinic.

      That is because last week 5 year old Jack Natzke died of complications from the infection...
