University of Dayton reports six cases of hand-foot-and-mouth disease

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Six cases of hand-foot-and-mouth disease have been recently reported to the health center at the University of Dayton.

University officials say one of the cases is currently active. In adults, hand-food-and-mouth disease can cause a sore throat, low-grade fever and small blisters on the hands and feet. In infants, the disease can cause fever, fussiness and sores in the mouth, making eating and drinking difficult...
