August 15, 2011 ? Jerry?s Foods, an Annandale, Minn. establishment is recalling approximately 24 pounds of summer sausage products because of misbranding and undeclared allergens. The products contain the undeclared allergens whey and soy, ingredients in a spice blend, which are not noted on the label.
The products subject to recall include:
12-oz. (chub) packages of "County Market BEEF SUMMER SAUSAGE" in a burgundy colored casing.
12-oz. (chub) packages of "County Market BEEF SUMMER SAUSAGE WITH JALAPENOS" in a burgundy colored casing.
The fully cooked, ready-to-eat products also bear the establishment number "EST. 7777" inside the USDA mark of inspection and a use by/sell by date of "9/10/11." The products, which have a 60-day shelf life, were produced July 12, 2011, and packaged on July 14, 2011. They were sold at a retail store owned by Jerry?s Foods in Wisconsin.
