    SHDOWN, AR (KSLA) -

    An Arkansas teen being treated for what is believed to be a rare case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) as died.

    A spokesperson for the Little Rock Children's Hospital where 13-year-old Coleman Pearson was being treated for the rare disease has confirmed that the teen passed away on Tuesday.

    Ashdown, Ark.(KTHV) - The mother of a 13-year old who died of Encephalitis said their family is mourning and remembering the life of their son...

    ...Coleman died Tuesday at Arkansas Children's Hospital. This is the first human case of the disease found in Arkansas since the state began keeping records in the 1960s.

    "He was feeling bad and he had a real bad headache and was feeling bad and he got off the couch and stumbled around and had a seizure," said Pearson.
