    | Saturday, May 30th, 2009 7:06 am

The region's Public Health department has confirmed a case of Red Measles in a child...and are warning residents to check for symptoms.

If you were at Conestoga Mall on Friday May 22nd between 7pm and 10:30, you may have been exposed to the highly contagious disease.

Symptoms include cough, runny nose, fever and white spots in the mouth.

The child, who was infected while travelling to Florida, is recovering.

Officials say the risk to the public is considered low because of high immunization rates and high immunity among the population.
