PINECREST, FLA. (WDHN) — Florida is now the latest state to have reported a case of the measles after a high school senior was detected with the virus.

According to WSVN, a local affiliate in Miami, Miami-Dade County public schools officials confirmed the student has the measles.

A spokesperson for the district confirmed the case but did not give further details due to it involving a minor...

A student at Miami Palmetto Senior High School tested positive for measles school officials said Tuesday, according to WPTV's affiliate station WTVJ.

The Florida Department of Health confirmed the case in Miami-Dade County on its website on Sunday. This is first reported case of measles in Florida.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WFLA) — A second case of measles has been confirmed in South Florida.

Records from the Florida Department of Health show a young child between the ages of 0-4 was diagnosed with measles in Broward County.

A third case of measles has been reported in Florida this year, this one in Leon County.
This case follows two others in Florida this year, one in Broward County and another in Miami-Dade County.

A case of measles has been reported in Leon County, home of the state capital of Tallahassee, according to state health officials.

A person between the age of 25-29 acquired the disease outside of the country in June, according to the Florida Department of Health (DOH) Reportable Disease Frequency Report.
