    Mexico, May 19 09 (EL UNIVERSAL) .- The varicella viral disease transmitted by personal contact, continued to expand in parallel with the emergence of human influenza, and affects at least 23 of the 32 states, which 90 thousand 399 cases reported until mid-May, but no death.

    The disease has increased rapidly in the Southeast, especially in Quintana Roo, where in little more than a week rose from 102 thousand to 4 thousand 539 cases treated, while in Veracruz went from 8 to 9 thousand 785 cases and 500 thousand Yucatan 4 to 5 thousand 927 thousand 555.

    The disease, considered to be classic children, also affects adolescents and adults with increased complications and because it is highly contagious in serious economic damage. With a patient at home, 90% of those who live there just getting the bad.

    Chickenpox usually heal or disappear in a range of seven to 10 days, but it has an incubation period until the disease appears between two to three weeks and patients are contagious from about two days before the rash appears.

    According to data provided by state health authorities, so far this year, the area southeast of the country is the brunt of the onset of chickenpox, with a total of 29 thousand 209 cases in the states of Campeche (856 thousand ), Oaxaca (4 mil 194), Quintana Roo (4 mil 539), Tabasco (2 mil), Veracruz (9 thousand 500) and Yucat?n (7 mil 120).

    In the rest of the country with over 2 thousand cases per state are: Hidalgo (2 mil 928), Ontario (8 mil 182), State of Mexico (10 thousand 102), Coahuila (4 mil 736), Chihuahua (6 mil 416) and Sonora (4 mil 259). Also joined Guanajuato (4 mil 365), Jalisco (6 thousand 958) and Michoacan (2 mil 445).
