Epidemiology Department, Ministry of Health confirmed that
ten members of one family, are ill
by Chagas disease.
Miriam Morales, director of the firm, said there is also
five other people, also living in La Vega, municipality
Libertador de Caracas, which are under observation for filing
disease-related symptoms reported by the chip, which
causative agent is Trypanosoma cruzi.
The official said however, the outbreak should not generate

Despite the refusal of health authorities to provide
details of the situation has emerged that at least one child has
died as a result of the current outbreak. Several patients with
severe symptoms were admitted to the Hospital? Miguel Perez
