Heavy rains cause deaths in Camps
    Zalingei (
    15 Jul .) -
Due to heavy rains in the region, at least two children and a woman got killed at bambara Camp for Darfuri refugees in the Central African Republic. A displaced person told Radio Dabanga, that seasonal rains, and stagnant water have led to the spread of diseases, such as malaria, diarrhea and skin diseases. He also noted that the camp's medical center was overcrowded with patients, with thirteen women in a serious condition. This person appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide tents, medicines and food.

A Sheikh in Nazho camps of Bakarcilla in Western Darfur, also complained to Radio Dabanga about the spread of diarrhea and coughs. He called on aid organizations, to rid the camp of stagnant water, to prevent the spread of mosquito's and diseases. He also asked for more tarpaulins for the displaced.
