قال الدكتور حسين صوفي أبوطالب، وكيل وزارة الصحة بالفيوم إن الضحية يدعي صالح عبدالحميد سعد «٦١ سنة - مساعد شرطة بالمعاش»، من قرية عتامنة المزارعة التابعة لمركز إطسا، ودخل مستشفي الحميات في الساعة الثالثة صباحًا، إثر معاناته من ضيق في التنفس، وارتفاع شديد في درجة الحرارة، بسبب إصابته بأعراض أنفلونزا الطيور، علي حد تأكيد خطاب تحويله من مستشفي إطسا إلي حميات الفيوم، الذي أثبت مخالطته طيوراً نافقة، وتم أخذ عينة منه للتأكد من إصابته بالمرض وتم عزله، لكنه توفي بعد دخوله المستشفي بساعتين.

احتجز مستشفى حميات بنى سويف، أمس مواطنة تدعى ?بدرية محمد محمد طه? من قرية ?الحبية? بمركز الفشن، للاشتباه فى إصابتها بأعراض مرض أنفلونزا الطيور.
