وقامت وزارة البيئة بدورها في مخاطبة كل من وزير الاسكان والمرافق, ووزير الدولة للتنمية المحلية ومحافظي القاهرة والجيزة والقليوبية للتنسيق فيما بينهم ومع الهيئة العامة للتخطيط العمراني لتحديد المواقع البديلة.

ويضيف أحمد خليل: أملك مصنعا لتدوير القمامة ويعمل به أكثر من30 رب أسرة ونقوم بجميع القمامة من المنازل دون أخذ أي مقابل, كما أننا نقوم بتنظيف بعض الشوارع من قمامة المنازل التي لم تأت اليها أبدا سيارات شركات النظافة.. حيث يتم فرزها وإطعام الخنازير بالمادة العضوية بها ثم اعادة تدويرها بعد فصلها, كل عنصر علي حدة كالورق والالومنيوم والبلاستيك والحديد وغيرها, ويضيف اننا لا نمانع عملية النقل ولكن حالة التهديد التي نقع تحتها من المسئولين تهدد بقطع أرزاقنا خاصة إننا نعتبر منطقة ضرب للايدي العاملة. وفي منطقة الخصوص يقول أبو الحمد زيدان ويمتلك مزرعة بها نحو200 رأس إننا نعيش في هذه المنطقة منذ اكثر من50 عاما وجميعنا نعمل في تدوير القمامة وتربية الخنازير مصدر رزقنا وهو حيوان غير مكلف في تربيته ويوفر اللحم الأحمر لبعض الفنادق السياحية, وهو حيوان سريع التكاثر وهذا يتناسب مع كميات القمامة التي تفرزها القاهرة يوميا وتعجز حتي شركات النظافة المستحدثة عن التخلص منها. ويقول الحاج حسين سلامة أحد المربين: نحن لا نمانع النقل علي ان يتم ذلك لمنازلنا وأسرنا وحظائرنا حتي يمكننا مواصلة حياتنا دون قلق, أما ما سمعناه من ان المسئولين يخططون لنقل الحظائر فقط فهو أمر غير عادل فكيف نعيش في الخصوص مثلا أو منشأة ناصر بينما حظائرنا بعيدة عدة كيلو مترات. وأضاف إننا نعيش علي مساحة50 فدانا والمكان الذي يريدون نقلنا اليه لا يتعدي خمسة فدادين وبقرار تخصيص وليس تمليك أي انه يمكن طردنا في يوم ما فضلا عن ان هذه المساحة لا تكفي ربع المربين ويضيف زكي خليل مربي إن الأهالي لا يمانعون في الانتقال الي الصحراء ولكن بشرط أن تكون المساحة مساوية للمساحة التي يقيمون عليها الآن ومزودة بالخدمات, كما يطالبون بعقود تمليك لهذه الارض وأن تزود بالخدمات من مدارس ومساجد وكنائس ومياه وكهرباء وصرف صحي وطرق وغيرها من وسائل أمنية كنقطة شرطة ووحدة اطفاء وإسعاف.. ويؤكد حمدي زيدان نحن مجتمع سكني( بالخصوص) لا يقل عن300 الف نسمة قوامه أكثر من800 أسرة وأصغر مزرعة بها نحو300 رأس حيوان نحتاج إلي طن لإطعامها يوميا ما بين مادة عضوية ومادة جافة.. أما المادة العضوية فنوفرها من القمامة, والجافة نبتاعها من الاسواق.
