قرر اللواء سامى عمارة محافظ المنوفية، إغلاق مزرعتين بمركزى الشهداء وشبين الكوم لعدم مراعاتهما لاشتراطات اللجنة العليا لمكافحة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور. وأشار الدكتور أحمد فؤاد غنيم مدير مديرية الطب البيطرى بالمنوفية، أنه تم إغلاق مزرعتى دواجن فى قرية بخاتى مركز شبين الكوم، وقرية زاوية البقلى مركز الشهداء، لمدة ثلاثة شهور لمخالفتهما شروط الأمان الحيوى البيطرى.
وأعلن اللواء على محمد على رئيس مركز ومدينة شبين الكوم، أنه تم وضع برنامج متكامل لتحصين الدواجن بلقاح أنفلوانزا الطيور بعدد 24 قرية تابعة للمركز، بدءاً من 19 يوليو الجارى وحتى 27 أغسطس المقبل، يتم خلالها المرور على الأهالى من منزل إلى منزل لتحصين الدواجن، وإرشاد المواطنين إلى كيفية التعامل مع الدواجن بطرق صحية آمنة لمنع تفشى المرض.
