    Poultry prices have seen a marked decline in the markets during the past days, to record the price of 25 pounds per consumer instead of 30 pounds, while The price of a kilo of municipal poultry is 37 pounds instead of 40 pounds.
    While the prices of eggs have gone down, where the price of red egg carton is 38 pounds instead of 35 pounds and the white from 35 pounds to 32 pounds.
    During a field tour of different areas in the governorates of Cairo and Giza, Al-Shorouq observed a recovery in the buying and selling movement affected by the noticeable decline in prices of white and municipal poultry.
    A number of traders and owners of poultry shops that control the increase in demand for any commodity low prices, and the ability of citizens to buy.
    For his part, the head of the Poultry Wealth Division of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Abdul Aziz Al-Sayed said that there is a significant decline in poultry prices in the markets by up to 40%, referring to the decline to the recession in the market compared to the past period.
    In a statement to Al-Shorouq, Al-Shorouq said that the price of a kilo of white poultry for the delivery of a farm recorded 21 pounds and the municipality 33 pounds for the delivery of a farm, while the price of the carton red eggs 31 pounds delivery farm and white 28 pounds per carton.
    "There is a decrease in poultry prices compared to last week," said Ali Syed, a poultry dealer in Faisal, adding that prices are expected to fall after Eid al-Adha.
    Ahmed Mohammed, owner of a shop in Bulaq Dakrour, said that poultry prices in general are volatile and that the increase could return again quickly, and it could be further reduced, pointing out that the current period is witnessing a great stagnation in the movement of buying and selling, which in turn led to prices drop.
    For his part, Ali Yasin, poultry distributor in Helwan, pointed out that the distributors are an intermediate link between the farm and the consumer. The Chambers of Commerce put an indicative price of 4 pounds on the price from the source of production to the consumer, noting that he receives the kilo from the farm at 21 pounds to reach the consumer 25 Pounds and the municipality of 33 pounds per kilo of farm delivery.
    Osama Al-Sheikh, the owner of a poultry shop in Sayeda Zeinab, said that the real fear of the current price increase is coming from the coming winter season, where the owners depend on the gas cylinders in the heating, which recorded the price of one cylinder 40% following the decision to raise fuel prices.
    In a related context, Abdulnabi Nasif, one of the egg traders, said that the prices of egg carton decreased by 3 pounds compared to the period before the Eid al-Fitr, pointing out that the current high temperatures force producers and traders to get rid of the quantities produced for non-damage.
