I'm confused, how can you have a hard date specified as a age, for a certain type drug to be used on that age group unless they know of other past exposures which would allow for some degree of protection/immunity for people above the age of twelve..

or am i missing something here.somebody help me out?

my wife just had some blood work done today at the international medical center. the person which collected the sample was un-gloved and used only a dry cotton ball to clean the area after the collection and she had my wifes blood on her fingers.

    may god help us all!

The article really doesn't make any sense. In the past month there were 12 reported H5N1 cases in Egypt. The oldest was 5. They were treated with Tamiflu and only one died. At the beginning of the year almost all cases were toddlers ( 1 1/2 to 2 1/2). They were also treated with Tamiflu, and again almost all survived.

The H5N1 in children this year has been mild, with VERY few deaths in patients 5 years of age or under (who make up the VAST majority of H5N1 cases reported in Efypt in 2009).

Twall, make sure when you do speak to those, that you mention that this came from the "previous" Health Minister.

well im being told the old minister was replaced two or three years ago,but is still part of the government and he has the right to speak on this issue. only the first paragraph is his comments. the balance is from his replacement.

I have spoke with a couple of people here and they say the five year and twelve year makers indicates much more then mentioned directly. one was shocked when they read this article by the implications it allows to remain open.
