كشفت التحقيقات التي أجريت تحت إشراف المستشار عبد المجيد محمود ـ النائب العام المصري ـ جدية البلاغات بشأن عدم صلاحية صفقة قمح ضخمة تم استيرادها من روسيا للاستهلاك الآدمي لاحتوائها على كميات رهيبة من الحشرات المجهولة وبقايا أوراق شجر تحوي نسبة تسميم عالية لرشها بالمبيدات المدمرة للصحة.

وكان النائب العام قد أمر بالتحفظ على كافة كميات القمح الواردة إلى مصر من روسيا فى 13 مايو الماضي، وقرر تشكيل لجنة ثلاثية من أساتذة كلية الزراعة بجامعة القاهرة لأخذ عينات من القمح المتحفظ عليه وتحليله لبيان مدى صلاحيته للاستهلاك الادمي ومدى مطابقته للشروط والمواصفات محل التعاقد المبرم بين هيئة السلع التموينية وشركة التجار المصريين المستوردة للصفقة للتحقق من مدى صحة ما جاء فى البلاغ المقدم بشأن تلك الأقماح وتحديد المسئوليات إن وجدت.
