Ten passengers fell ill with nausea and stomach complaints about two hours into the flight.
Jetstar spokesman Simon Westaway says the cause of the illness is still a mystery, but it was not the food.
He says airline staff and caterers have investigated the matter.
"They have yesterday worked very closely with us, obviously it was right to look in to the matter," he said.
"Their systems around that particular flight, the food samples that have been looked at from that flight are not showing anything other than the supply of fresh tasty food to that service to Honololulu," Mr Westaway said.
