Bird carcass tests positive for bird flu

A bird carcass collected in Yuen Long on Monday has tested positive for the H5 strain of bird flu.
The Oriental Magpie Robin - a common bird in Hong Kong - was collected within three kilometres of three chicken farms and the Mai Po Nature Reserve.
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said no abnormal deaths or bird flu symptoms have been detected among the chickens in the farms.
