Livestock and poultry meat is rich in high-quality animal protein and is one of the important foods that is indispensable in the daily diet of the public. In order to effectively ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the people, the Hainan Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has specially issued a livestock and poultry announcement to consumers. Meat consumption tips.
There are three main categories of livestock and poultry meat on the market: hot fresh meat, cold fresh meat, and frozen meat. Hot fresh meat refers to meat that is traditionally slaughtered in the early morning, marketed early in the morning, and processed without cooling. Chilled meat (or cooled meat) refers to cutting and processing in a low-temperature environment in accordance with strict pre-slaughter quarantine and post-slaughter inspection processing requirements, using scientific slaughtering and processing techniques, so that the meat in the center of the carcass or hind leg muscles is warm. A new type of pre-cooled processed meat that quickly drops to 0-4°C within 24 hours and always maintains a cold chain of 0-4°C during subsequent processing, transportation, and sales. Frozen meat refers to meat that is frozen and preserved at a temperature below -18°C or lower. Consumers should pay attention to the following during consumption:
① When purchasing livestock and poultry meat, consumers should try their best to choose supermarkets and farmers' markets with complete qualifications and standardized management, and pay attention to check whether they are accompanied by "two certificates and two chapters" (i.e., animal product quarantine certificate, meat product inspection certificate, etc.) Quality inspection certificate, animal quarantine inspection seal, meat quality inspection seal). At present, the agricultural and rural departments of our province have carried out paperless issuance of "Animal Quarantine Certificate" and meat quality inspection certificates. Electronic certificates are issued based on the "Hainan Muyuntong" applet. Consumers can ask merchants to display "Hainan Muyuntong" Express" QR code, use the "Scan" function of WeChat to scan the merchant's QR code to view the "two certificates" and other specific information of the livestock and poultry meat products sold by the merchant. For imported meat, you can request and view the entry cargo inspection and quarantine certificate. If there are no relevant badges or incomplete badges, you should purchase with caution.
② When purchasing livestock and poultry meat, consumers should carefully distinguish the sensory status of the meat and pay attention to packaging labels. For example, the surface of the meat has a slightly dry outer film that is shiny; the surface is slightly dry or moist, but not sticky; the dents recover immediately after pressing; and there is no peculiar smell. When purchasing frozen livestock and poultry meat, you should focus on checking whether the operating temperature of the frozen display cabinet is normal. If there is packaging, you should choose products that are well packaged and clearly marked, and avoid purchasing products that become soft after thawing and have a lot of frost in the packaging bag.
③ Fresh and frozen livestock and poultry meat purchased should be cooked and eaten as soon as possible. If temporary storage is needed, wrap it in a fresh-keeping bag or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to avoid being exposed and mixed with other foods. Fresh livestock and poultry meat should not be stored in the refrigerator for more than 3 hours. If livestock and poultry meat is frozen for a long time or thawed repeatedly, the food quality and nutritional value will be reduced. If you need to freeze and store it, cut it into small pieces as much as possible, shorten the storage time, and eat it as soon as possible. Encourage buying on demand and eating as you go.
④ When checking out, you should ask the merchant for the shopping invoice, receipt or electronic valid voucher and keep it properly. If you encounter meat quality problems or consumer disputes, you can promptly call the 12345 complaint hotline to lodge a complaint.
