Tons of dead lobsters are suspected to be sold as shrimp tails: the price of dead lobsters is more than 1 yuan per catty

Recently, an insider reported that someone bought dead lobsters in two wholesale markets in Nanjing, and was suspected of processing these dead lobsters into food for sale. The reporter came to the market and found that the dead lobsters were indeed sold at a price of more than 1 yuan per catty. Follow-up found that trucks bought several tons of dead lobsters in various markets in Nanjing and transported them to a cooked lobster processing cooperative in Tianchang City, Anhui Province. In the cold storage of the cooperative, the reporter found a large number of processed shrimp tails. Some workers said that they would process up to 5 tons of dead lobsters a day, but they hesitated about the sales method.
The reporter reported to the Tianchang City Market Supervision Bureau. Faced with the inspection of law enforcement officers, the person in charge not only denied that they processed dead shrimp, but also denied that they had purchased these lobsters. Law enforcement officials said that they have already called out the processing quantity of all lobsters in the factory since May this year, totaling nearly 50 tons. Where are these processed lobsters being sold? The local market supervision department is still under investigation.
