Conduct trauma emergency drills to build a solid line of defense for life safety —— Dazhu County People's Hospital conducts trauma emergency drills and the fourth phase of mobile warehouse nurse emergency drills

    2025-07-28 11:23

In order to comprehensively improve the hospital's comprehensive treatment capabilities in response to sudden traumatic incidents, strengthen the multidisciplinary collaboration mechanism, and at the same time test the emergency response capabilities and handling levels of mobile warehouse nurses, Dazhu County People's Hospital recently organized a high-standard, full-process trauma first aid comprehensive emergency drill.
The drill was conducted by Dean Jiang Honghai and Deputy Dean Chen Zhang, who served as the deputy commander-in-chief. The innovative model of "actual combat drill + scenario assessment" was adopted, integrating multiple processes such as human resource deployment, equipment deployment and post-traumatic psychological emergency management, focusing on testing key links such as 120 dispatch response, pre-hospital triage, safe transfer and in-hospital rescue coordination. The simulation scenario was set as "mass trauma incident caused by sudden explosion accident", and standardized patients with different injuries were set up on site.
That afternoon, the drill officially kicked off at the order of the commander-in-chief Jiang Honghai. After the emergency department received an alert from the 120 command center that a large-scale traumatic incident had occurred in the suburbs, it immediately activated the emergency plan for major traumatic incidents and quickly dispatched three emergency rescue teams to the scene.
In the on-site treatment phase, emergency personnel strictly followed the process specifications of "injury assessment - graded treatment - priority transfer" to quickly complete key treatment steps such as vital sign monitoring, trauma grade identification, emergency airway management, and bleeding control. Especially for critically ill patients, the drill team innovatively implemented the joint treatment mode of "on-board treatment + information transmission" to achieve seamless connection between pre-hospital and in-hospital treatment. In the in-hospital treatment phase, more than 10 departments including the emergency medicine department, trauma team, intensive care unit, anesthesia operating room, medical imaging department, and blood testing and transfusion department activated the linkage mechanism, and completed key treatments such as imaging examinations, emergency surgery, and blood transfusion treatment for critically ill patients within the "golden hour"; the equipment support group simultaneously completed the emergency deployment of life support equipment; the logistics support group ensured that the emergency channel was unobstructed, forming a complete closed loop of treatment.
The drill lasted two hours, during which multiple emergency scenario assessment points were set up, focusing on testing the emergency response capabilities of the medical team in special situations such as equipment failure and sudden complications. By simulating real trauma treatment scenarios, the smoothness of the green channel and the response efficiency of the hospital's emergency treatment system were systematically tested. The relevant departments and sections cooperated well in each link and performed well, demonstrating standardized operating procedures and good teamwork awareness.
After the drill, more than 10 experts in the fields of medical care, nursing, and medical technology held a review meeting. At the meeting, Dean Jiang Honghai fully affirmed the quick response, professionalism, and teamwork capabilities demonstrated by the emergency team in the drill, and also pointed out some deficiencies in the drill. He emphasized that trauma emergency treatment is a systematic project that requires all medical staff to continuously improve their emergency response capabilities and strengthen teamwork to ensure that they can respond quickly in actual work so that every patient can receive timely and efficient treatment. He hopes that all personnel will take the drill as an opportunity to further optimize the emergency treatment process, improve the emergency connection mechanism, strengthen personnel training, and continuously improve the hospital's emergency response capabilities and actual combat level, so as to build a solid line of defense for the health and safety of the people of Zhuxiang.
