The Ministry of Health in Bolivia has reported a significant rise in Chikungunya cases, with the national count now at 5,371. The majority of these cases are located in the Santa Cruz department, which accounts for 4,371 incidents as of March 7. Although health officials noted a recent downward trend in the case numbers within Santa Cruz, other regions, particularly Beni, have declared a Health Emergency due to concurrent outbreaks of dengue and chikungunya...

La Paz, March 10, 2026 (MSD/UCOM/066).- The Vice Minister of Promotion, Epidemiological Surveillance and Traditional Medicine, Roxana Salamanca, reported that according to the latest report, 5371 cases of chikungunya have been registered nationwide, of which 4500 are from Santa Cruz, 303 from Cochabamba, 332 from Tarija, 81 from Chuquisaca and 68 from La Paz.
