In data provided nationwide this Wednesday, Monroy said that 20 people died, there were 174 cases of new infections and 105 patients recovered.
Of the deceased, seven are women and 13 are men, for which reason he emphasized maintaining security measures, such as distancing himself and wearing the mask, in order to stop the pandemic.
With these data, the country reaches a total of five thousand 760 detected cases, as well as four thousand 686 active cases.
At the same conference, President Alejandro Giammattei recommended that he immediately go for help when the virus is suspected, since, he exemplified, a patient died an hour after admission, when the condition was already advanced.
"Two of the three parts of the deceased on this day arrived in a state that was impossible to save his life," added the president, who assured that at the moment "we do not have collapsed public health hospitals."
Despite the fact that in these two weeks there has been an upturn in cases, the Government announced that it will ease the movement restrictions next weekend, which will be governed by the current curfew; that is, from 6 pm to 5 am the following day.
In fact, the Ministry of Health has already published an agreement in the official newspaper on the stages of unconfinement.
This Tuesday, Health authorities also announced at a press conference that more than 130 health workers were infected with covid-19, including doctors and nurses.
