Quebec injects $115 million for vaccine to fight H1N1 in province

QUEBEC - Quebec is injecting $115 million into vaccines to fight off the H1N1 virus in the province.
Of that amount, $36 million will go for the actual doses of the vaccine to be distributed and $72 million for administration of the vaccination program.
The administration includes salaries and space rental.
As well, $6 million will be spent on public education.
Quebec has ordered 11.5 million doses of the vaccine to fight the flu, which is expected to start hitting the province in the next few weeks.
The Canadian Press obtained the figures in documents from the provincial Health Department.
Vaccinations are to begin next week.
