    Influenza activity in Manitoba has moderately increased.

    Summary:
    ? The influenza-like-illness rate was 6.7% with 55% of sentinel physician sites reporting.
    ? There were eight cases of influenza A and six cases of influenza B reported this week.
    ? There was one death reported associated with a lab-confirmed report of influenza this week. (This aggregate count should be interpreted with caution as underlying cause of death may or may not be directly related to the lab-confirmed positive influenza diagnosis.)
    ? There was one lab-confirmed outbreak of influenza B reported this week.

    The proportion of patients seen for an ILI increased during week 50 compared to last week (6.7% from 2.3%). The proportion is higher than what was observed at the same time last season.

    Since the beginning of this season, there have been:
