Rise in gastro cases
(11 hours ago) TodayLAHORE, May 17: After the phenomenal rise in temperature, the cases of gastro have risen in the provincial capital.
Hospital sources told APP here on Tuesday that more than 1,000 cases related to gastroenteritis were registered within a couple of days in various public sector hospitals of the provincial metropolis.
Children Hospital Medical Superintendent Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore said 338 children were admitted to the hospital from Monday to Tuesday and the number was increasing.
?Most of the patients are found in collapsed or near-collapse condition, caused by diarrhoea and vomiting, which led to loss of body fluid and electrolyte imbalance,? he added.
