New rapid test kit ready for mass production, screens both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Indonesian researchers have successfully developed a test kit that can detect the virus that causes COVID-19 in a mere 15 minutes with a specificity level of 96 percent.
The domestically made rapid test, RI-GHA, was co-developed by Indonesia's Technology Assessment and Application Agency (BPPT), Bandung Institute of Technology (BIT), Gadjah Mada University, and Airlangga University. Officials claim it is superior to foreign products.
