    An avian influenza virus was detected from the wild deer who was dying at Otsuka Ike Park in the northwestern part of Mito city (from Otsuka Park Academy of Mito City Park Association)
    According to Mito City, on December 29, the Owan Swan was found dead at Otsuka Pond located in the northwestern part of the city. The livestock health laboratories in the prefecture collected and tested the genes and confirmed a positive reaction of avian influenza virus "H5 subtype".

    Ibaraki prefecture inspected the dead Swan founded on 29th of last month in Mito city and announced that "H5 subtype" avian influenza virus was confirmed.
