Second case of swine fever near Polish border with Germany

Lubuskie: 18 wild boars dead from ASF - Chief Veterinary Officer confirms

The Chief Veterinary Officer today announced that based on the results of research carried out at the National Veterinary Institute - National Research Institute in Puławy, the occurrence of African swine fever (ASF) was confirmed in eighteen wild boars in the Lubuskie Province.

According to GLW, the samples were found in nine locations during managed searches in the contaminated area and a buffer zone determined based on risk analysis.

From November 14, 2019, African swine fever was confirmed in the counties of Wschowa and Novosol in twenty wild boars found in the area and the designated protection zone.
